I’m a designer with a strong background in interactive design and development. Over the past six years I have worked for a number of leading agencies giving me a wealth of experience and confidence working with a wide range of projects. In my current role as a senior interactive designer my responsibilities range from developing creative strategies to designing solutions for the web and mobile devices.
My experience with producing digital products has taught me that having a structured process of research analysis, considered design and staged development can overcome many pitfalls. I’ve had experience working with a range of development environments including .net, php to ruby on rails and can see the benefits of both custom code and 3rd party software such as WordPress or Drupal.
Above all I believe good design and the user experience is key. Design doesn’t end when a site goes live but it should evolve with the site through user analysis to improve the experience further. I’m a strong advocate of web standards, grid based design and good typography. I enjoy working within a vibrant team and feel passionate about the work I create.

In my current role my responsibilities involve developing client relationships, identifying outcomes and designing solutions. After determining a clear brief I work with the development team to formulate the information architeture, wire-frames and proof of concept. After which I design I will design a look and feel that helps user engage with the content and improve its legability. By utilising a strict grid and typography style sheet developers can ensure a consistant user experience.
